You can get to Alaska by air, road, or sea, and once you are here you can travel within Alaska by plane, boat, train, car, or motorcoach/bus.

Travel to Alaska

Alaska is located northwest of Washington State, and west of Canada's Yukon. At its southernmost, Alaska is just an hour and a half by jet from Seattle, the closest major airport outside the state. Other towns farther north take from three-and-a-half to four hours by jet from Seattle. More

Travel within Alaska

Alaska is BIG -- equal to one-fifth the rest of the United States. Getting between our towns can take time. Be sure to look at distance and transportation options between locations when planning your trip. More
